It is an insightful article as it highlights the vision of the Current Prime Minister of India - Narendra Damodardas Modi to improve public health; an excerpt from his first speech to the nation commemorating India's independence day captures this vision: "We are living in the 21st century. Has it ever pained us that our mothers and sisters have to defecate in the open?... The poor womenfolk of the village wait for the night; until darkness descends, they can't go out to defecate.
